Warranty Info :
Brunswick Protection Plan (BPP) which is a more comprehensive coverage for not only the engines, but also many of the key components and accessories for the actual vessel.
In regards to the engines, there are 2 Main coverages that start from day 1 of delivery that complement the Mercury Factory Warranty. Those are:
Non-Defective Coverage, this is an additional coverage to the Mercury Factory warranty that covers those instances where an issue arises on the engines that aren’t considered defects and therefore Mercury would not cover. A few examples are Overheating and Preignition which again would be covered by BPP but not by Merc. Wear Upgrade is the other coverage that compliments the factory warranty where it protects and warrants against mechanical damage caused by the listed wearable components. Again, this is something that Mercury would not cover as its not considered a factory defect. See Upgrade Options PDF for more details.
In addition, the BPP covers some of the key accessories listed on the attached Captains Class PDF, items such as the water and waste systems, the Windlass, Generator and thruster to just name a few.
