features and descriptions
One of the more popular boats in this class, the appeal of the
277 CC (called the 280 CC beginning in 2018) goes well beyond
her classic lines and affordable price. Like all Cobia models, the
277/280 is a lot of boat for the money. A wide 9’8″ beam makes her
one of the biggest boats in this class, and an uncluttered cockpit
allows several anglers to fish without bumping elbows. The 277
comes standard with an electrically powered retractable bow table,
forward entry step-down console with marine head, and folddown
rear bench seating. Topping the console is a wraparound
acrylic windshield and the dash accommodates two 16-inch video
displays. Two bucket seats with armrests and fold-down bolsters
double as a leaning post. At the bow, foldaway backrests to
port and starboard turn the seats into twin lounges. A large indeck
storage compartment forward of the console stows loose
gear. Fishing amenities include two in-sole insulated fish boxes,
42-gallon transom livewell, eight rod holders, and cockpit coaming
pads. At the stern, the power transom bulkhead lifts to provide
easy access to the bilge. Twin Yamaha F200s deliver a top speed
of nearly 45 knots.
