Model Overview

The 46′ Eastbay is built on the same platform as the popular and successful 45SX. Upon casual inspection the boats appear to be very similar however the incorporation of the Zeus Pod Drive system in the 46′ created a ripple effect of crucial differences. The standard features of Zeus Pods, increased speed and performance with similar horsepower, joystick maneuverability, sky hook and integrated autopilot are all noteworthy. It is, however, some of the other changes and benefits of the Pods which make the 46SX truly exceptional.

The machinery all moves aft from under the salon to below the cockpit. Main engines, pods, genset, air conditioning units, pumps etc. all move aft to an immaculate fully gel coated engine room under the cockpit. The benefits to this are numerous, no longer are mechanics and technicians entering the engine room through the salon. All noise making machinery is now located outside the main cabin making the 46′ whisper quit when underway, shouting to your crew is a thing of the past.

As the engines and other gear move aft the space below the salon has been transformed into a utility room. Accessible through a hatch in the salon floor or through a door behind the galley steps the utility room on “Pegasus” houses a separate washer and dryer along with a freezer for long cruises. There is also ample storage space.
