2015 Powerboat Guide description:
A hugely popular boat, the Jupiter 31 has ranked among the best boats in her class for many years. She was available in three configurations: open fisherman (pictured), cuddy cabin, and the popular forward seating model introduced in 2003. Originally a semicustom boat, the 31 is built on a high-performance deep-V hull with moderate beam, cored hullsides, and a solid fiberglass bottom. No wood is used in the construction, and the bottom has a keel pad from the stern forward for extra lift. The outboard bracket was beefed up in 2003 to handle newer (heavier) engines. Standard features include a transom rigging station with sink, transom livewell, lockable rod storage, fresh/raw-water washdowns, roomy walk-in console, in-deck fish boxes, leaning post with rod holders, in-deck dry storage, cockpit bolsters, anchor locker, and trim tabs. Note the Jupiter’s oversized console with large helm.
