The Riviera 42 is laid out with the master stateroom forward and an island queen size berth. There are many storage bins on the sides of the cabin, storage drawers under the berth, and hanging lockers to both port and starboard. Aft and to port, a door leads to a private head. This head features a vanity with a sink, a generous sized separate shower, and Vacuflush toilet (with tank watch).
Aft and to starboard, is the guest stateroom with three single berths, a hanging locker, and storage cabinets. Just forward of the guest stateroom is the guest/day head that is accessible from either the guest stateroom or the companionway. It has a vanity with sink, a good sized separate shower, and Vacuflush toilet.
Across the companionway, to port, is the laundry facility with a freezer unit and storage for linens and cleaning products. There is also a central vacuum system.
On the portside is the mid-level galley with upright refrigerator/freezer, built-in drawer style dishwasher, two -burner electric cooktop and microwave/convection oven. There is a good deal of storage in the cabinets and a hatch in the floor accesses a very large storage area under the galley.
In the salon, there is an “L” shaped dinette in the forward starboard corner and an “L” shaped settee in the aft port corner. The settee pulls out to sleep two. Aft of the dinette, on the starboard side, is an icemaker replaced 3-2021, cabinet for hardware and the 12V and 120V electrical control panels. The salon windows are fitted with pull down blinds.
The large cockpit is accessed by way of a swinging door on the starboard side of the aft bulkhead. There are storage cabinets under the coaming all around the cockpit and under the deck. A sink with hot and cold water is on the forward bulkhead along with a freezer cabinet running off of its own compressor in the engine room. The cabinet under the sink swings open to provide access to the engine room.
The tournament flybridge has an aft centerline helm station. The helm is equipped with a full complement of newly installed electronics. Forward of the helm is an “L” shaped settee, and to port is a second lounge seat. There is a 12V refrigerator and sink with hot and cold water on the bridge. The flybridge is covered by a hardtop with a four sided enclosure.
The foredeck has a freshly rebuilt UMT davit with new tender chock and bow pulpit with the Muir electric windlass.
