Under Contract – Boat Sales and Sea Hunt Boats have been on fire!

August 24, 2020 | Recent Updates

This 2019 23′ Sea Hunt Boats Ultra 234 lasted a whopping 5 days on the market before it went under contract.  We also has a 27′ Sea Hunt Boats Gamefish go under contract the same day and it was on the market for a week as well.  The prices are holding firm and there seems to be a lot of new money moving to Florida.  Jupiter, FL is growing at a very rapid pace and is being developed faster than many of us would like.  With all of the changes and schools deciding to stay closed it has forced families to cancel major vacations overseas and the money is now being spent locally on things like boat sales , RV’s, 4 wheeler’s, bikes, and just about anything outdoors.  I know this seems like it may not last but we all feel like this is just the tip of the upswing in the market for boat sales and boat prices.  Factories are so behind now that most major boat builders are scrambling to produce new boats.  If you drive around to the dealerships you will notice nearly empty parking lots that at one time had major inventory.  If you have a need to sell now is the time.  Most brands are selling fast.  The small center console boat sales market is red hot.  Cruisers and bow riders are a little slow and the half million and up boats market is also a bit slow.  I hope you all are staying safe and healthy and we are all praying for normal once again.  Summer is coming to an end and we hope you all got out on the water and enjoyed yourselves.

Pompano Fishing

Pompano fishing has been on fire lately.  With the winds finally calming down the pomps have made their usual journey through the treasure coast.  I have recently gone down to 25lb floro from my usual 30lb for surf rigs due to clear water conditions.  You can get away with 15lb if the waves are very small.  The lighter you go the better the bite.  Some guys are using 15lb and having great success throwing 4 oz sputnik sinkers on double hook rigs.

I personally throw a 6 oz sputnik with the 25lb setup and 40lb braid.  The braid makes a world of difference for spinning reels for distance casting.  I typically use sand flea flavored fish bites as they seem to work best but shrimp and clam have worked good lately too.  Don’t be afraid to toss a short rod right in the surf too because this year there have been a lot of quality fish right in the break.  Look for shoals and sand bars and set up right off the edges of these structures.  Good Luck
